A VISION BECOMES A COMPANY
Founded as Conversio Austria
The core company was founded by Johannes Hofer at the age of 23 with the driving goal of empowering people to become more independent and autonomous. As a specialist in renewable energy systems, Conversio Austria quickly established itself as a strong partner in design and installation as well as in comprehensive customer support.
A CENTURY OF ENTREPRENEURIAL HERITAGE
Acquisition of Hofer Orthopedic Technology
The transfer of the family-owned company Hofer Orthopedic Technology, founded in 1919, from Hannes Hofer to his two sons Daniel and Johannes marked the continuation of a success story spanning four generations. This heritage laid the foundation for the entrepreneurial values and long-term vision that continue to shape the Conversio Group today.
BUSINESS EXPANSION
Acquisition of Elektro Kavalirek
The acquisition of Elektro Kavalirek in Velden am Wörthersee marked an important milestone in the company's development and the beginning of its transformation into a diversified group operating across multiple industries.
GROWTH THROUGH DIVERSIFICATION
Acquisition of Elektro Krobath & Sanitherm;
Foundation of Conversio Montage & Flexum
In line with the expansion of its renewable energy systems, the company acquired additional electrical contracting firms and, for the first time, expanded its portfolio into building services, plumbing, and heating installations. Newly established subsidiaries took over the operational aspects of system construction, as well as the essential task of guiding customers through subsidy applications and administrative processes.

Acquisition of MET Elektro Unterlerchner, Insta Dach
& Webhools; Foundation of Conversio South-East Europe
The establishment of Conversio South-East Europe, with its headquarters in Zagreb, Croatia, marked the beginning of the Group's expansion into neighbouring European markets. At the same time, additional skilled trades companies and an innovative software development studio strengthened the Austrian network of the rapidly growing Conversio Group, creating new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
STRATEGIC JOINT VENTURES WITH DENZEL AND AHA
Acquisition of Elektro Jerabek; Foundation of Conversio Energie,
Conversio BH, Strombox & Aton Green Solutions
The Denzel Group and Conversio combined their expertise to accelerate the expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure through the creation of Strombox. At the same time, the joint venture with the AHA Group led to the establishment of Aton Green Solutions, dedicated to bringing renewable energy solutions to senior living communities and care facilities. The acquisition of the long-established company Elektro Jerabek preserved more than six decades of electrical engineering expertise while securing its long-term future. Responsibility for the design and planning of renewable energy systems was transferred to the newly established subsidiary Conversio Energie. During the same year, the Group also expanded its presence by establishing a new office in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
